Why you should also fly a PAP
The Original Paramotor
P.AP. is short for Propulsión Auxiliar Parapente, which loosely translates to Propulsion Accessory (for a) Paraglider. The company was founded in 1989 by Pierre Aubert, one of the pioneers of paramotoring technology. Based in Estepona, Spain, P.AP. is one of the original and most experienced paramotor manufacturers in the industry. Cutting edge technology offered in an elegantly designed package makes this product the logical choice for any pilot from the astute and experienced, to the prospective novice.
Pierre Aubert
Paramotor pioneers
PAP is one of the first paramotors produced commercially. Amongst others, PAP introduced low hangpoint swingarms for better weight-shifting to paramotoring and hold several world records.
PAP has been at the top of the podium on many occasions. They have been world champions seven times, World Air Games champions three times, holders of the altitude record (7808m) and distance record (1105km) by Ramón Morillas, and female altitude record (6250m) by Karen Skinner, among others. Cost effective
Paramotors are expensive machines, and as a pilot you deserve the best equipment at the lowest price possible. You will be pleased to hear that a PAP paramotor will likely cost you significantly less than most other paramotors on the market. This is due to the way in which our official multi-continent dealerships are structured.
With a PAP, you will be buying one of the best quality and most versatile machines on the market, backed up by first-rate after-sales service directly from our factory at a price that may surprise you.
Fastest possible assembly
PAP paramotors feature a unique assembly and disassembly system that allows the cage to be disassembled in four parts, with the safety netting remaining in place as shown. Assembling the cage is a simple matter of clipping together the four sections and keep it in place with the three snaplock catches shown in the photos at 3, 9 and 12 o'clock positions as shown in the photos. Assembly takes only 2 minutes - check it out in the following YouTube videos:
Outstanding quality
PAP paramotors are manufactured using the best possible materials and manufacturing processes. Coupled with excellent design and workmanship, the quality of the final product is simply outstanding. As an example, compare the design and quality of the swingarms of a PAP (above) to that of other brands. Have a look at this video:
Wide choice of engines
There are eight (yes, eight!) engine options for the PAP Tinox frame. This means there is a perfect combination of frame and engine for every pilot.
Engine options range from the 80 cc Vittorazi Atom 80, delivering 13 kW (18 hp), all the way to the 281 cc Polini Thor 303 delivering a massive 28 kW (38 hp).
Furthermore, our engine options include two of the most popular brands in the world and are therefore also the best tested and refined engines available. For example, the Vittorazi Moster 185 is by far the most popular engine in the world, and there is a reason for that: it represents the best combination of price, performance, reliability and after sales service of any engine on the market.
A PAP Tinox with an Atom 80 is a perfect combination for a small 1.55 m (5 ft 1 in) female pilot as shown in this video:
PAP Trike
You can mount your foot-launch PAP paramotor on a very simple and light trike frame (10 kg only) for those days you want to be more relaxed or take a passenger with you. Assembling the trike and mounting your paramotor on the trike takes less than 5 minutes! Check out the following videos:
