Who we are

FlyMachine PPG

FlyMachine PPG consists of paramotor pilots and enthusiasts who aim to equip other pilots and aspiring pilots with the best quality paramotoring and paragliding equipment. From personal experience, we have selected one paramotor brand and one paraglider brand that we fully endorse as among the very best equipment available.

FlyMachine PPG is proud to be the dealer for PAP paramotors and APCO Aviation paragliders in Australia.

In short, our mission is to equip fellow paramotor pilots with the best quality equipment, accessories and spares at the lowest possible prices.

Hannes

Hannes in the clouds in his PAP Tinox with Moster 185 Plus

Hannes van der Walt is a semi-retired aeronautical and process engineer and an avid paramotor enthusiast. With a PhD in aeronautical engineering, Hannes places great value in the quality and engineering detail of the PAP paramotor and APCO wings. Based in both Melbourne in Australia, and Swakopmund in Namibia, paramotoring is his absolute passion. He loves flying and exploring new places with fellow enthusiasts.

Feel free to check out his paramotoring adventures in the gallery and on his YouTube channel. You may notice that he does a lot of flying in Namibia in Africa, the country of his youth and one of the best paramotoring destinations in the world. If you are interested in joining him for a paramotoring safari in Namibia, feel free to contact him directly.

Dale and Katie Worthington are a paramotoring couple — something quite unique in the world of paramotoring. They are based in Narracan, Gippsland, Victoria, and would be keen to discuss the sport with anyone interested in getting into this fantastic sport, especially female pilots.

Dale & Katie

Katie and her PAP Tinox with Atom 80

Katie is an endorsed PPG paramotor pilot trained by Justin Shaw at the Knowsley Airpark just outside Bendigo, Victoria. Her training began in mid-2020 and continued through the ins and outs of lockdowns. She developed her skills over three years and was endorsed in July 2023.

She flies with her husband, Dale, who was introduced to the PAP brand by Hannes. The PAP frame suited Katie with her petite size (5 ft 1 in, 50 kg). She found the frame structurally solid but lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. Katie felt that with each flight, her confidence and skill level increased. She can easily handle the weight on her back, and the low swing arms perfectly match her body and positioning. The PAP frame removes intimidation and creates comfort and mobility in an otherwise restrictive environment.

She is attending fly-ins, demonstrations and various events around Australia for 2024. She flies with her husband Dale and groups of other pilots throughout Gippsland and Southeast Melbourne. Say hello and find out more about the world of female PPG pilots.

See you in the sky!
