Sandwich Harbour, Namibia
Sandwich Harbour is a nature reserve south of Swakopmund. In colonial times, it was used as a whaling port. Now, however, it is famous for bird life and the spectacular beauty of the harbour with the huge sand dunes of the Namib desert as a backdrop. This was probably the most spectacular site I have ever flown to in my paramotor.

Moon Valley, Namibia
The Moon Valley, also known as the Moon Landscape or Goanikontes, is a 30-minute drive inland from the coastal town of Swakopmund.
The most fantastic landscape awaits the visitor, all along the Swakop river. The valleys of the river form a spectacular moonscape as the river cuts through the softer surface deposits over thousands of years.

Swakopmund, Namibia
Swakopmund is a beautiful coastal town on the west coast of Namibia, a popular holiday destination with a strong German colonial tradition
-
Spitzkoppe, Namibia
The Spitzkoppe is a group of bald granite mountain peaks which present themselves in dramatic fashion from certain vantage points. The highest peak rises approximately 670 m above the floor of the flat desert environment below. This is also one of the most well-known tourist attractions in Namibia.
-
Messum Crater, Namibia
Messum Crater is a large caldera in the Namib desert, formed when a magma chamber collapsed when coming in contact with ground water. The crater is approximately 20 km in diameter.
-
Henties Bay, Namibia
Henties Bay is a much smaller town than Swakopmund, populated mainly by retirees and holidaymakers, mostly people with a passion for fishing. And, of course a few paramotor pilots.
-
Brukkaros Mountain, Namibia
Brukkaros Mountain is a crater located in the south of Namibia, a semi-desert area that receives only about 18 mm of rainfall per year. Brukkaros is a collapsed caldera and towers approximately 650 m above the surrounding area with a ring diameter of 4 km.

Omaruru River, Namibia
The Omaruru river is a 330 km-long ancient river that flows from inland Namibia westward to the Atlantic Ocean just north of the coastal town of Henties Bay. Since the river is dry for most of the year, fantastic 4x4 camping trips are on offer along the dry river bed. Of course, it is much better still to have a view from a paramotor a few hundred meters up over the landscape.
